Private: Pinch Pot/Tummad Candle Holder

Minimum participants: 6 at 550 kr per person OR Minimum price for booking: 3300 kr Max participants: 12 The price includes the following per participant: up to 500 grams of clay, the completion of up to 1 piece, 1 glaze color. In this event you will make a small candle holder for tea lights/varm ljus or candle sticks/ljust stake (although some people decide to make othr things, like mugs, bowls, or jars). Spend a fun 2 hours in our cozy studio and keep you home cozy this winter with your handmade candle holder! Please NOTE: Tumning/pinch pot is a hand-building technique that involves forming a ball of clay just with your hands by pinching it. That means it is not drejning/on the pottery wheel. Drejning, or throwing in English, is the best know ceramic technique, but not the only one :). Each technique has it's advantages and its fans! I recommend trying them all! Tumning is slower paced than the pottery wheel and much more forgiving. A lot of people find it meditative! Clay prep and cleaning by me so you can simply enjoy your time in the studio! Children aged 8 and above can participate well in all the adult workshops. The "completion" of a ceramic piece is a long process. A lot goes on behind the scenes after you leave the studio! Your pieces must be monitored and slow-dried to help prevent cracking. I will then fire, glaze, and fire your pieces again. Each firing plus cooling time takes around 36 hrs. The second firing goes up to 1255 degrees C! This is not something you can do in your kitchen oven at home ;) Your finished pieces will be ready for pickup from the studio on average 4 weeks after your workshop. We do not offer refunds, so please double check with your friends/family that the date and time works for you all before booking. If a member of your group has symptoms that could be Corona, we will be happy to reschedule your group's session as a thank you for staying home and keeping us all safe.

We don’t offer refunds for cancellations. Please review your schedule and coordinate with your party before you register. Plan ahead to be sure that you can attend! In 5-week classes, if you have to miss a class, please let me know ASAP. I may be able to arrange a switch with another student so you don't have to miss any class time.
